Still Alive

I’m painfully aware that my presence online has been somewhat lacking.

Living Room Musicals

Another summer project that I have been working on is the Living Room Musicals project, spearheaded by Dr. Asher Warren. I composed a musical number (as in, song and dance musical work- nothing eclectic or crazy about it, just honest to god normal chords for normal people!), which will be included as part of the flagship launch!

Drill Recording

Had a great day in the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra studio, recording my work Krypton, which will be played as part of DRILL’s 2019 season “NEON”! Twelve instruments, twenty minutes, and an afternoon of wonderful music making- Greg Stephens did an amazing job (as always), and the entire process was documented by the DRILL team for a doco about the whole production. Pics will be forthcoming.

Once More Into The Fray

Pleased to announce that I will be returning to the Conservatorium of Music this year, doing an Honours degree in musical composition. I’ve been awarded the Sir Victor Burley Postgraduate Music Scholarship to help me along with this.

Astor Sessions

Well, that’s a wrap! I just finished Music Tasmania’s Astor Sessions weekend at the Astor Hotel in Hobart, and have come out the other end with a newfound appreciation for the work that goes into creating a 15 second Instagram clip (and a slight hangover!)

Second Echo

Pre-sales for Second Echo Ensemble’s “Contested Land” show have just started! I was lucky enough to participate in this wonderful project in early 2017, where I composed a short piece, which was recorded by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra. You can listen to it here!

Engraving

I have recently been working with the wonderful Tasmanian composer, Steve Crump on engraving an EP of some of his works for solo piano! Stay tuned.
